We are pleased to announce that we have made the largest metallising investment so far in Tervakoski Film history. Two new production units and new slitting machines will increase our metallising capacity by 30 % in 2017.
The first new production unit will arrive in December 2016 and the second one is due in March 2017. The investment will enable us to produce 3 500 tonnes of metallised film per year. We have also invested in new slitting machines to speed up the production process.
Metallisation is a strong trend at the moment. Smart grids, automotive, locomotive, industry and infrastructure applications all increase the demand for high quality metallised products. Investments are our way of ensuring growth and development in the future as well. As the market develops, we want to be one step ahead, creating the best solutions for any capacitor.
