Are you ready for a high voltage revolution?

Once in a while, there comes a film that changes everything. We’re not talking about Star Wars, but our new generation of high-temperature impregnation film for UHVAC and UHVDC applications is equally exciting. From now on, you can be sure that ‘the force’ will not leave your capacitors.

THE NEXT GENERATION OF FILM

To ensure lifetime reliability, we only use advanced materials and dedicated processes. Our new high-temperature BOPP hazy film is manufactured by the blown or tenter film process. As market leader, we are in the unique position of being the only manufacturer in the world with access to both of these production technologies.

This new generation of film introduces a brand new blend of premium raw materials. It will give you extraordinary reliability with increased voltage stresses.

Blown film is superior in DC and can also withstand extremely low arctic temperatures. Moreover, we have fortified our new impregnated film with improved breakdown voltage uniformity. Furthermore, the new high-temperature BOPP hazy film introduces a brand new blend of premium raw materials. It’s the result of extensive polymeric studies, paired with proven field records of HVAC and HVDC performance from the past 30 years. Let’s just say we really believe in this blend.

THE NEXT LEVEL OF PERFORMANCE

In a previous blog post (Quality and Performance Begins with the Film) we spoke about the importance of ageing and endurance characteristic in high-stress environments. Our new impregnation film displays improved endurance performance in terms of very good residual dielectric strength and temperature resistance. This denotes ambient temperatures and local ageing.

We can optimise space at installation sites and enable an even larger transmission of electrical power, using only a fraction of the space previously needed for the same capacitor.

Companies struggling in their projects with a limited land area will also be happy to hear that our new film withstands high voltage stress levels. This way we can optimise space at installation sites and enable even larger transmission of electrical power, using less space than previously needed for the same capacitor. We can also brag with very low dielectric losses and excellent stability. In other words, this new generation of film will give you extraordinary reliability with increased voltage stresses.
