“Today, we have most of our Integrated Management System documentation available only digitally, and employees can access information through shared platforms, QR codes, online forms and internal portals,” says Oksana Podolets, IMS Manager.
The next major step is the implementation of SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud, creating a more connected and data-driven operating environment.
“The transition shifts us toward real-time data processing. By moving to the cloud, we are breaking down data silos and creating a unified digital core that allows us to react to market changes instantly rather than retrospectively,” says Martin Frimer, CFO.
According to Martin, the cloud platform provides continuous access to new functionality, embedded AI capabilities and long-term scalability.
“This step opens for us a new, modern and AI-supported ERP system which helps us optimize our internal processes,” Martin says.

AI as a practical business tool

“I see AI as an integration layer that can navigate huge amounts of ERP data, apply mathematical and statistical methods and provide valuable insights within seconds,” he adds.
Oksana sees opportunities particularly in quality management, operational analytics and training.
“AI could help us analyze quality and plant data, automate repetitive tasks, reduce downtime and support preventive actions based on lessons learned,” she says.
Data transparency creates the foundation
Oksana and Martin emphasize that successful AI adoption depends on reliable and accessible data.
“To be modern, flexible and multifunctional, our knowledge and data must be available digitally and accessible from anywhere,” Oksana says.
Martin describes data transparency as a necessity for effective management.
“In a complex industrial environment, you cannot manage what you cannot see. Data transparency is the prerequisite for both operational excellence and the successful implementation of any AI-driven strategy”, Martin says.
Supporting the data centers’ electrical systems
While Tervakoski Films Group is adopting AI internally, it is also helping enable AI growth globally through its products.
The rapid expansion of AI data centers is driving demand for advanced power electronics and electrical systems, where capacitor films play a critical role.
“As a major supplier of capacitor films, we are helping support the infrastructure that keeps the AI world of data alive,” Oksana says.
